Your stylist will know what to do. Plus plan on it getting even curlier when cut. My niece and nephew have naturally curly hair and it gets even curlier when cut so if you don't want it super short make sure they don't take much off.

Just get it layered. Don't get rid of the length. Have it cut dry (blown out)

what the last one said and i would add no thinning it'll give you the frizzies.

I think you should get it to your shoulders and so when you straighten it it'll be just about two inches longer than your shoulders, and when you don't it'll be very pretty and just slightly past your jaw/chin.

good luck!%26lt;3

Ok, no offense to MSC, but unless you are wearing it straight ALL the time, do NOT get it blown out before you get it cut. I realize I am spoiled by living in NYC, but there is a system to cutting curly hair that most people don't understand. Check out information on DevaCurl.

Basically, EACH curl is cut individually---while it is dry. Its important because curls stick together and when hair is wet, you don't know where its going to go (Ditto for when its blown out...) Also, just getting a layered cut can end up with the nasty 'shelving' of hair that all us curly hair girls hate---almost as much as the triangle cut.

I straightened my hair for years before I found a good stylist that cut it this way. If you go to someone you have a relationship with already, just call them and ask them to read up on this method of cutting curly hair. If not, try looking for a DevaCurl certified stylist in your area. It might be more expensive, but it will last much longer and it will be easier for a cheaper stylist to maintain.

As far as an actual style (but with a good cut, curly girls make their own styles ;)!), try looking at http://www.bosshairstyles.com

Good luck!
