my hair turns into a gigantic poofball if i dont straighten it...but straightening takes soooooooooo long. if i just want to let it get wavy/curly, how can it not look so huge?
and can it stay like that overnight (i shower before bed each night, and then i style it while it dries)

Use a gel or foam with a type of mud or hair putty. Mix the two together and run throughly through hair. You can blow dry your hair but scrunch while drying. Do not allow your hair to dry all the way. Leave it slightly damp and then use hair spray or a litle more hair mud/putty and let the rest air dry. Don't brush your hair through because it will puff up.

The best way to do this is to use a curl definer, a gel and hairspray.
Wash your hair in the morning, towel dry, apply the curl definer and gel with a scrunching technique, apply the hairspray and allow to air dry DO NOT USE A DIFFUSER.

try styling it when it's wet....and dont do it in a humid bathroom (you probably already no that CURLS+HUMIDITY=BAD!! Or......braid your hair at nite and style it in the mornin...i use John Freida's anti-defrizz serum...it REALLY works....and remember CONDITION CONDITION CONDITION!
