I have curly hair and do not know what to do with it, what would you recommend>?

my hair is long and curly and I usually put it into a bun and dont fix it. What would be a good style that is easy and does not require alot of time and money spent on pruducts that dont work for me?

if you like your curls then use a good curling shampoo and cond especially for curls. I have naturally curly hair and using these kinds of shampoos help. Being a stylist of 13 years I have dealt with a lot of different types of hair. Always use a wide tooth comb when its wet thats with any hair, especially curly because using a brush just makes it frizzy. use good styling products curling ones and which ever way your curls go let them. I will occasionally have to use an iron to put the curl where I want it especially on my bang part. Hope this helps.

Keep it short, that way, its not hard to clean or fuss with in the mornings.

Personally I love a woman with long hair, curly or straight...(yea, I drooled over Crystal Gayle!) :)

But, as a working woman with kids and all that, I can see why you would want short hair with less fuss and no hassles in the mornings...

When I had long, curly hair (it's shaved off now) I used to use a "curling mousse" and scrunch it while I'm blowdrying it with a diffuser upside-down. Took about 15 minutes. hth

braids

anything anyone else can do

BUT brush your hair once you put it up

(ex. when its in a ponytail brush the "tail" then twirl it around your fingure to make it into a larger curl)

NEVE BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN IT"S WET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you need to do is get it cut to a medium length cause if it curly the shorter you go the frizzier it will get. So, med. length would be fine. And as for styling it, buy John Frieda products, cheap and they work great. Put it in your hair, let your hair air-dry and you're on your way. Or if it is winter time use a defuser on the end of your hair-dryer. Hope this helped.

I have the same problem. I have curly hair that's halfway down my back. I don't want to cut it but it can just be such a pain. I have spent years looking for something easy, and have found it. Every morning I shower and wash my hair, and I've found that the shampoo/conditioner doesn't matter. I use the cheap stuff usually Suave since it doesn't weigh my hair down. When you get out of the shower, pick out your hair or comb it, you can also do this in the shower too if you have tangle problems. Then flip your hair a few times to get some of the moisture out and separate the strands, and end with your head down. Then I use Loreal Melting Gel and put about a 50cent piece size in. Then I scrunch my hair with a towel to encourage the curl and get the moisture out. Then just 5-10 minutes with the diffuser to get most of the water out. Finish with a flexable hairspray(I prefer aerosol), and you're good to go! Hope this helps!

Have it layered and thinned or cut. Curly hair looks better short than long. I've had natural curly hair all of my life. After having long and short hair - I discovered that curyl hair does much better when it is short. Use a good shampoo and then a moisturizer.

I have long curly hair too, i normally straighten it with a CHI (easier to manage) or i use "Curl Rock" by "TIGI" you just put it in your hair when it is wet and it works awesome it tames the frizz but doesnt make your hair hard like alot of gels do. There is a new product in the hair care market called "Round Trip". It is part of the "Paul Mitchell" express style range. It is a curl definer that doesn't leave your hair looking or feeling crunchy. It reduces ur drying time and has a light hold. I would buy it and try it with various styles.

Get some mousse (I use Curl Reviver Mousse by Frizz Eaze) put it in your hair, and dry it with a diffuser for 3-5 mins...and thats it. simple. and it probably will look much better than the bun. I used to do the same thing, but decided curly looks better than a bun... I have bangs, so I will usually clip my bangs back on top of my head in the little "poof" thing...

what has worked for me and doesnt require a long time i have it curly get some mousse and apply after you brush apply some hair spray and blow dry your hair tilt your head upside down and blow dry while hair is dangling im not sure if that makes a lot of sense to you but it leaves it looking so nice and it dont take a long time either its a good way of leaving it loose

try useing alot of gell for the "wet look" i know thers those big tubs of gell for ike $2 at family dollar or if that brakes ur hair try la looks thats what my mom uses and it sounds like she has the same hair
