1920's hair style help!!!...(I'll choose a best answer)?

I have medium(shoulder) length super thick curly hair and i want to style it into a bob reminicent of the 1920's for a decade themed event i am attending. I am not going to cut my hair but i would like to make it appear as if it did not have so much. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh there will be this guy i like there so i want to look my best.

I will choose a best answer!

Flappers and women of the 1920s drastically changed their style from the traditional Gibson girl. They had shorter and smoother bobs just past the ears in a slanted cut.

Since your hair sounds very thick, I suggest getting it professionally straightened. You can also choose to keep the texture in loose waves (called fingerwaves), then pin the hair out of your face.
